With water temperatures falling into the 40s, fall fishing on the Mississippi River is kicking into high gear. While many anglers travel to the river to tangle with walleyes or saugers, most people overlook the abundant and unpressured crappies that can also provide excellent fall action. In this video, I illustrate how to use the Spot Lock function of the updated MinnKota i-Pilot, in conjunction with VMC Hot Skirt jigs and Trigger X soft plastics to target some big fall crappies on the Mississippi.
